I am working on a development site and have installed and confiquered the plugin. I can not get the categories to open or find out how to add a new listing. http://getsdone.com/wpcareers/?_action=classified

Hi- Just installing the classifieds plugin- firstly, thank you very much for what looks like it is going to be an excellent plugin!

I have read your installation guide and have changed wp-classified/cache to 777 but when i go to the initial settings in settings and options- i see this
Directory CheckerCheck Directory Permission ! =>/home/scrapcra/public_html/flowernetwork/wp-content/public/wp-classified/
Are there supposed to be further permission changes? and if so, what are they to be?

Do you create a public directory under WP-CONTENT?
You also have to create a public directory under wp-content (the public folder must have write permission)
and create the following folder and chmod them to 777 (writable by the webserver.)

wp-content/public/wp-classified/
e. g.
cd /home/scrapcra/public_html/flowernetwork/wp-content
mkdir -p public/wp-classified; chmod -R 777 public

The first time the classified page is accessed, everything is fine. Each subsequent time, nothing shows up on the page except the words “Feel free to submit your classified ads,
You don’t have to pay anything, it’s totally free.”
None of the categories or ads are visible. Please help.

sources are currently being updated and fixed the activation process in administrator Interface.
download and replace admin.php file

He writes me this message: “Check Directory Permission”?
What should I do?

A different problem is I want to save a new classified ad, but I can not save the little display! He shows me only the search function.

Wow, I just happen to click on the ad and there was the ‘activate’ option. Could use some real documentation with this plugin.

Now a new problem appears. Ad shows, but if I click on the title, it goes to the blog. The title link shows http://www.sitename.com/#1. Clicking on the picture works fine.

Ok, having some issues that don't seem to make any sense. 1/ Postings. As the admin logged into the site, I posted an ad. I could see absolutely zero places to 'approve' the ad. I could Edit | Sticky | De-activate | Delete | Move but nothing that says 'approve'. How do I get the add to display? 2/ I registered a new user. I created a new add. There is no location/option to 'approve user' to use classified, let alone approve his ad as well. So far all I've been able to do is install and make a few admin option changes. Yes there is a list and category created. Kinda at a loss here.
